Alice Jane Killion

Alice was born on December 2, 1927 to Edmon J. and V. Elizabeth (Richards) Gibbs in White Cloud, Kansas. She was the 4th of 11 children of which 2 survive. She grew up in Northeast Kansas and graduated from Horton High School in 1947. After coming to Kansas City to attend Secretarial School she met and married the love of her life Robert R. Killion Sr. on July 18, 1948.They were married for over 65 years when he predeceased her on October 31, 2013. To this union 3 children were born who survive, Cheryl J. Scarborough (Dennis), Sandra K. Duffelmeyer (David) and Robert R. (Ray) Killion Jr.(Gay Ann) She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. Survived by two brothers Raymond Gibbs and Gordon Gibbs (Dee). Also special daughter Janis Walk, grandchildren Jonathan and Jennifer Walk and Cindy Zornes.

She was employed at Baptist Memorial Hospital for over 30 years working as a Unit Clerk in Labor and Delivery and the Eye Institute Floor. She was honored as Employee of the Year in 1972.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to South Haven Baptist Church, Crossroads Hospice or Jesus Film Project.

Services will be held at South Haven Baptist Church at 16800 Bel-Ray Blvd.in Belton on Monday January 10, 2022 with Visitation at 1:00 p.m. and Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Burial at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown. following services.
