Alice Marie Saubers

Alice Marie Saubers, 69, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on March 10, 2026, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. A short graveside prayer and memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday March 24, 2026, at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens, Lee’s Summit, MO.

Alice was born on February 23, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Richard and Audrey (Trenary) Denny, both deceased. Alice grew up in Kansas City, Raytown and Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Avila University. Alice worked at Sarah Coventry, 20th Century Investments, AT&T and General Electric. In 2006, Alice started working at Synchrony, and retired in 2025 as a Specialist in Disputes. She is remembered by co-employees for her vibrant, laughing personality.

Alice loved and lived with her husband Troy, until he predeceased her in 2020. She loved all her dogs, from a small toy poodle to a large St Bernard mix, mainly rescue dogs. Her current rescue Lab mix dog, Wilbur, gave her great joy and company, especially as she worked from home for the last 5 years. Alice enjoyed crafts, such as cooking her mom and grandmas’s recipes and crocheting colorful and intricate wraps. Alice loved the Kansas CIty Chiefs football team, whether they were winning the Super Bowl or “rebuilding”. She attended games at the old and new stadiums as a teenager and adult. Recently, she enjoyed watching them on TV while texting with friends and family, and she never forgot “Red Friday”.

Alice is survived by her sisters Sharon (the late Michael) Dolson of Jefferson City, MO, and Linda Denny of St. Louis, Mo, and step-daughter Vialet Moss of Springfield, MO. Also several nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
