Allan was born in Cherokee, KS, and was the son of Winfield and Cecile (Dauron) Clugston.
In 1940, Allan began a long and successful career with Union Pacific Railroad and later with
Sante Fe Railroad. After retiring from his railroad career, Allan worked many years as an income tax
specialist for H&R Block.
Allan was a proud WWII veteran. He served in the United States Army from November, 1941, through March, 1946.
His tour of duty took him to many locations including Calcutta, India. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and
advocated for U.S. Veterans rights. Allan loved to travel and dance, sometimes combining the two into vacations.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents, wife Pauline (Zupan) Clugston, two brothers, Charles W Clugston and
Gerald Clugston, and a sister, Ann Lucchi.
Allan is survived by three nephews, three nieces, and many great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019, 1:00 PM at the Floral Hills Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Newcomers Floral Hills Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials to the Wounded Warriors Fund. These may be left at or mailed to the
