Alpha Fern Battagler, 97, of Oskaloosa, Kansas, Formerly of Northeast Kansas City passed away September 1st. She was a graduate of Northeast High school, and was a Longline Engineer for AT&T for 34 years.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 69 years Buck Battagler; her sisters, Emily McLallen and Geneva Tharp.
She is survived by her sisters Wilma Jean Harden, Juanita Slayton, and her best friends Butch and Sue Means; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM Thursday Sept. 6th at Floral Hills.
Family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to F.W. Huston SLC Residents Activity Fund in Winchester, Kansas.
