
Andrew William "Bud" DiGirolamo of Belton, Missouri, passed away Saturday August 13, 2016 at the age of 90. Bud was born to Joseph and Agnes (née Williams) DiGirolamo on October 9, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri. All his life, Bud worked in the transportation industry, except for a short time in the late 1940s when he was in the US Marine Corps. In 1970, Bud founded his own trucking company, Jet Transfer, which he ran until he retired. After retirement, he worked part-time at Earl May Nursery in Grandview, Missouri, and Leawood, Kansas, until 2004. Bud is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois (née Peterson) DiGirolamo; his sister Dorothy "Dot" Audsley; his brother Michael "Sonny" DiGirolamo; his son Andrew DiGirolamo, Jr.; his daughter Julie DeSchepper (Ken); his grandchildren Mark DeSchepper (Katie Beth), Travis DiGirolamo, Rachel DeSchepper, and Vince DiGirolamo; his great-grandchildren, Logan and Grace DeSchepper; and his numerous nieces and nephews. Bud is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Margaret "Mag" Raysik and Mary Theresa DeGraeve; and his brothers Joseph "Joe" DiGirolamo and John "Poke" DiGirolamo. Services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 6-8pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. The family is grateful for condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
