I knew Angie and her mother, Big Frank and Little Frank, and Lucy when I was a kid in the 1940s living next door to the Arnones on Genessee. I have a lot of fond memories of the Arnones, including going to the store on Truman Road and some tasty food given to us by Mrs. Arnone. I even remember Lucy's wedding day. Ten years later or so, as I recall, I ran across Big Frank and Charlie Hall while working my way through college at Swift & Co. In the 1980s I saw Frank at his restaurant on Wornall. I did know about his connection with Topsy's, but for some reason never thought about maybe seeing Frank and Angie at the Prairie Village store. Sorry I missed seeing them in later years, but sure enjoyed knowing Angie and the family in my youth.

I met Angie when she was a neighbor of my mother on Wornall and have been friends at Church ever since. A very dear lady. RIP Angie
