Angela Hernandez

Angela Hernandez, 91, a loving wife, mother, and grandma passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at her home in Kansas City. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1310 Westport Rd., Kansas City, MO. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, MO, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Hernandez was born August 7, 1924 to Pablo and Antonina (Hernandez) in Princeton, IL. Angela is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas Hernandez Sr.; her parents; her sisters, Lupe, Lilly, and Mary; her brother, Frank; and her grandson, Anthony. She will be sadly missed by her eight children, Linda Montoya (Jesse), Nicholas Jr. (Rita), Ricardo (Carol-deceased), Anna Marie Pacheco (Louie-deceased), Robert (Shirley), Martin, Veronica Burks (Jack) and Gloria; one brother and three sisters. Left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren. Although we mourn her death and will miss her every day, we are comforted by the knowledge that she is at peace and with God.
