

Ann Marie Humphrey Broadway of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016. A visitation will be held Sunday, June 5 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with Funeral service Monday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Homes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
Ann was born June 3, 1938 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri to Wilbur Eugene and Helen May (Stover) Humphrey. She graduated from Paseo High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1956 and Missouri Valley College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Relations in 1963. Ann worked at Rosecrance Children’s Home in Rockford, Illinois, taught school (special education) in Haverdegrace, Maryland. She taught 1st grade in San Antonio, Texas and was a teacher’s aide in special education at Vaughn, Montana.
On December 30, 1966, Ann married Bobby B. Broadway after he entered the United States Air Force. She lived in Germany from 1969 to 1971, moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 1971 to 1979. She was active in Christ Episcopal Church serving as Christian Education Director. The family moved to Montana in 1979, to Highworth, United Kingdom in 1983 and back to Great Falls, Montana in 1985.
Ann worked for the Great Sky Girl Scout Council and was secretary for the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, First Congregational Church UCC and Christ United Methodist Church for over 20 years. She also served for over 22 years and was the Secretary to the Board of Directors and was the Bookkeeper/Treasurer for the Sun Prairie Village County Water and Sewer District in Montana.
She is survived by her husband of 49+ years, Bobby Broadway; four children, David Lyle Broadway of Great Falls, Montana, Peggy Ann Broadway and Gregory Eugene Broadway of Overland Park, Kansas, and Jonathan Allan Broadway of Independence, Missouri; grandson, Daniel Alexander Broadway of Independence, Missouri; daughter- in- law, Tara Rose Broadway of Independence, Missouri; and sister Peggy Jean Humphrey of Overland Park, Kansas. She is also survived by special friends Charles James Mock, of Caldwell, Idaho, Preston Allred, Jennifer Bozick, Camden Alexander Bozick and Jacob Anthony Levin, all of Overland Park, Kansas.
