Ann Louise (Kilbride) Phemister

She is survived by her daughters Beverly Soetaert, Liberty MO, Rita Hull (Rex), Kansas City, MO, Loretta Baird, Lee’s Summit, MO and Mary Margaret Faulkenberry, Kansas City, MO. Ann also had 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Ann was born August 19, 1919 to Mary Ellen (Kilday) Kilbride and John Joseph Kilbride in East Helena, Montana. She was the fifth of ten children. She married Edward John Phemister on July 15, 1943. She was a homemaker for many years until she went to work for Safeway Stores as a data entry operator. She retired after 24 years in 1984. Ann and Ed loved to travel and kept a world map of all the countries they had visited. She loved gardening and took great pride in giving away most of her harvest. Ann never met a stranger. She opened her heart and home to all her family and friends. She will be missed by many.

Visitation will be 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Thursday, December 29, 2022, with Funeral Mass following at 11:30 AM, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the parish or to Bishop Sullivan Center.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Benton House of Staley Hills and of Ascend Hospice for taking such good care of Ann.
