Ann Frances Schauerte

Ann Krchnak Schauerte passed away April 20, 2022 in Prairie Village, KS at age 92. Ann was born to Adolph and Caroline (Surovcak) Krchnak November 2, 1929 in Sealy, TX. She graduated from Sealy High School in 1948. Ann graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1951 and received her B.S.N. from Dominican College in 1953. Ann was active in the nursing field and the Republican Party. She volunteered for the Seton Medical Center, Austin, TX after retirement. When she wasn't working the overnight shift in the maternity ward, Ann stayed busy creating. She was a gifted crafter and was never without a project whether it involved knitting, crochet, embroidery, or painting landscapes which usually included her treasured bluebonnets.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, CM (Bud) Schauerte. She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Puckette, Marian Schauerte, and Clare Blando and one son, George Schauerte Paul, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She will be cremated and buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Sealy, TX at a date to be determined.
