Anna Jane VanHorn, 91, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away November 5, 2011. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8 at Northland Cathedral, 101 NW 99th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. Jane was born October 26, 1920 in Northwest Arkansas, daughter of John Boyd and Mattie Anne (Parker) Reed. She had worked as a tax examiner for the I.R.S. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Reverend Oral Dale VanHorn, brother John C. Reed and great-grandson Justin O'Quinn. She is survived by three sons Bill and his wife Connie VanHorn of California, Joe "Joe the Plumber" VanHorn of Kansas City and Jim and wife Ebby VanHorn of Grain Valley; two daughters Marty Jones and Dr. Mary VanHorn, both of Smithville, eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and her eight great-great-grandchild due in February.
