Anthony Barbosa

Anthony Barbosa, 77, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on January 3, 2007 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 901 Cesar Chavez Ave., Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, Missouri 64111. Burial at Mt.Calvary, Kansas City, Kansas.

Anthony served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Church and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Society. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Mercedes (Soto) Barbosa; three brothers, Joseph, Frank and Salvador Barbosa. Survivors include his loving wife, Elsie; sons, Gary (Judy) Barbosa and Mark (Janice) Barbosa; daughters, Carol (Paul) Espinoza and Diane (John) Suman; brothers, Henry Barbosa and Jess Barbosa; sisters, Ignacia Lopez and Connie Huerta; 9 grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, David, Phillip, A.J., Blake, Shelby, Katie, and Ryan; and 2 step-grandsons, Jordan and Joel.
