Antonio C. Cervantes, 82 of Kansas City, MO, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born on April 14, 1936 to Jesus Cervantes and Raphaela Caudillo in Kansas City, KS. He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City Westside. He worked at a young age in the fields picking crops, packing house, railroad and as food captain at Kansas City’s famous Muehlebach Hotel. His real dedication was given to the Ford Motor Company in Claycomo where for over 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Raphaela; his wife of 56 years, Lorenza; his sons, Louis Sr. and David Sr.; his brothers, Mariano, Richard, and Joe Cervantes; two sisters, Angelina Hernandez and Elvira Alaniz. He is survived by his sons, Xavier Cervantes Sr. (Gloria) and Daniel Cervantes (Ron Eatman); two sisters, Juanita Camarillo (Raymond), Maria Navarro (Paul); two nephews who were close to him, Andrew Alvarez and Michael Orozco; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by many.
