Ardeis (Buck) Myers, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri 87, passed away surrounded by family on Friday June 17, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Myers, sister Emily Myers Scott, nephew Ardeis Myers Scott, niece Scarlett K. Scott, niece Killian McCabe, niece Lowell Williams, nephew Johnathan Stewart, nephew Jared Stewart, and cousin Joe Myers.
Buck was a graduate from the University of Colombia, Mo. and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a longtime member of both the Kansas City Board of Trade, and Chicago Board of Trade. Buck enjoyed traveling abroad for business and owned and managed Good Sight Company Limited in Australia for over 40 years. He was an avid deep sea fisherman and enjoyed fishing the Great Barrier Reef yearly. Buck was honored for donating a fountain to benefit the Australian Deaf and Blind Society. He was a benefactor for the Howard Florey Institute in Australia. Buck was a member of the Saddle and Sirloin Club, Royal Order of Jesters and worked with the AFA.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with memorial service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Royal Order of Jesters Rose Ceremony at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Friday, July 1st, 2016.
