Arthur H. North

Arthur was born August 9, 1936, to Arlie and Eleanor (Walker) North in Macks Creek, Missouri. Arthur attended Macks Creek High School where he graduated in 1954. At the age of 22, Arthur married his one true love and best friend Glenda on October 13, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri. They were married for 63 years until her death in 2022. Arthur served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962 in Grossauheim, Germany during the Berlin Crisis. In 1962 Arthur and Glenda moved to Independence, Missouri, a few years later they welcomed their daughter Jennifer. Arthur worked as a warehouse associate at Montgomery Ward until his retirement in 1998. After retiring Arthur enjoyed spending time with Glenda, working in his garden, fishing and spending time at his lake home at The Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching KC Chiefs football, KC Royals Baseball, college basketball and a good chew on his front porch. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, orneriness and his ability to fix just about anything.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Glenda, great grandson CJ, brothers Herman North, Eldon North and Ivan North and his sisters Pauline Willey and Marjorie Andrews.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Kevin) Kincheloe of Independence, Missouri, granddaughters, Christina (Corey) Gomez and Carmen Kincheloe both of Independence, Missouri, a great granddaughter Aaliyah, his sister Eva (Billy) Creach of Macks Creek, Missouri, his dog Lil Arthur as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Linden Woods Village for the compassionate and great care he received while he was there.

A memorial gathering for Arthur will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 11924 East 47th Street, Kansas City, MO 64133, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
