

She was born in New Goshen, Indiana, on November 26, 1926, to Wyatt A. and Clara Belle House. She met Charles S. Meuth while they were both stationed at Sampson Air Force Base in Geneva, New York. They were married February 11, 1952, and she was honorably discharged in July 1952.
They had two daughters, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Audrey stayed at home to raise their daughters, but volunteered for the Family Services at the various air bases at which they were stationed. When the girls were grown, she returned to the workforce, working for the Department of Defense as a secretary, eventually retiring in 1990. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, reading and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Meuth; her parents, her sisters Mary and Helen, and brother Alan. She leaves behind her daughters, Stephanie Dareing (Mark), Raymore, MO; Anita Phetteplace (Dale), Lee’s Summit, MO; her grandchildren Carrie O’Brien, Matthew Dorsey (Andrea), Alexis Veal (Brian); her great-grandchildren Zachery Emmi, Emma Halstead, Nicholas Dorsey, Cooper Dorsey, Alessandria Veal, Madison Veal, and Carter Veal; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church 350 SW 150 Highway, in Lee’s Summit, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Aldersgate UMC, or the charity of their choice.
