

Ann was born in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Eric and Avis Peterson, and was a graduate of Wyandotte High School in 1957. Ann entered the Trinity Lutheran Nursing program upon graduation becoming a registered nurse. Ann went to work at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, and retired following a 40-year nursing career at Research Medical Center.
Ann married Kenneth Eugene Riddell in June 1963. They were blessed with two children: daughter, Kristina (Kris) and son, Andrew (Andy).
Ann is survived by her husband Ken, daughter, Kris (and Susan), son, Andy, and the two biggest joys of her life, outside of her own children, grandsons Reid and Jonathan (Jon). In addition, she leaves behind her brother, Don (and Peggy), sister, Jean (and Bud), nieces, Cindy (Kenny), Amy (Mike), Jenny (Al), and Beth (Jennifer), and four great-nieces, Madison (Maddie), Peyton (PJ), Rose, and Willow, and one great-nephew, Solomon.
Because of her generous and compassionate nature, the family suggests donations in Ann’s name to Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries or The Village at Carroll Park and that no flowers or plants be sent.
A private inurnment will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Floral Hills Memorial Garden
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, located at 1200 SW Blue Parkway, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063, followed by a celebration of Ann’s life at the home of Kris and Susan in Kansas City, Missouri
