Barbara A. Appleberry

Barbara Appleberry, born on July 14, 1948, gained her heavenly wings on July 28, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother Rosie Dale Hawk, her father John Appleberry, a sister Dorothy Fisher, a brother Jim Hawk, and a sister-in-law Jane Hawk. She is survived by a sister Bertha Blum, a daughter Melissa Marvin (Appleberry), a grandson Patrick Marvin, a niece Frances Blum; a nephew James Blum and his wife Stacey Blum, four great nieces, Crecia Blum, Melody Meyer (Blum) and her husband Taylor Meyer, Piper Drinkard, and Hailey Blum; a great great niece, Trinity Meyer; and a great great nephew, Tristan Meyer.

Barbara loved to listen to the Beatles, Sonny & Cher, Elvis and many more. She was an avid supporter of several local musicians and bands as she loved to dance. She was also a former member of the Independence Moose Lodge were she made many friends. She loved her grandson, Patrick beyond the moon and anyone that knows her knew that, because she was always telling them about his accomplishments. She had a heart of gold and helped anyone whenever she could. Barbara will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64145, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM.
