Barbara Jo Erickson

Barbara Jo Erickson, 45, of Holly, MI passed away February 6, 2014. She was born in Kansas City, MO on April 27, 1968. She graduated from Raytown High School in 1985, University of Missouri-Rolla, and received her Masters Degree from Washington University-St. Louis. Barbara was presently employed as a design engineer by Brose of North America in Auburn Hills, MI for the past 15 years. She was Lutheran by faith.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Oscar Erickson, Ray Geer, Jean McBeath, Clarence McBeath, Mary Neal Erickson, and many of her beloved pets.

Barbara is survived by her parents Bruce Erickson, Lee’s Summit and Donna Carrel, Independence; sisters Deanna Elliott, Lake Tapawingo and Jennifer Erickson, Independence; grandmothers Juanita Erickson, Kansas City and Hilda Geer, Flower Mound, TX; stepbrother Mark Carrel and stepsister Brenda Carrel. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and her beloved dog, B.J.

Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 14 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Inurnment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midwest Transplant Network or National Kidney Foundation.
