Barbara E. Keith, age 79, of Leawood, Kansas, died on September 2, 2010 at the Kansas City Hospice House. She was born in Highland Park, Illinois and graduated from New Trier High School. She attended Missouri Valley College, Marshall, Missouri, where she met her husband. Following a long career with the American Cancer Society, Barbara retired in 1995 at which time she and her husband moved to Arizona. They subsequently returned to this area to be near family and friends. Barbara is survived by her husband Samuel, two sons Robert of Independence and Michael of Kansas City, one grandson Robert II of Charlotte, North Carolina, and twin granddaughters Ashley O’Donnel and Amanda Dier. She was preceded in death by daughter Wendy, who was killed in a one car accident in 2005. Other survivors include nieces and their families. Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:00 pm. Monday, September 6, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. A closed family service will precede the visitation.
