

Barbara L. Struemph, 87, of Kansas City, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Brookdale Leawood State Line. She was born in Iberia, MO on May 19, 1938, daughter of Roy and Gertrude (Carroll) Irwin.
Barbara married Bernard H. Struemph on March 2, 1957 and was happily married for 64 years until his death. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved spending quality time with her family. She was a medical secretary throughout her career and a member of Saint Elizabeth and Saint Thomas More Catholic church.
She is survived by her two children, Brad Struemph (Kevin Wells) of Kansas City, MO and Cindy Howser (Doug) of Lake Zurich, IL; two grandchildren, Ryan Howser (Jessica) of Woodridge, IL and Brianne Earl (Michael) of Arlington Heights, IL; five great grandchildren, Benjamin Howser, Hannah Howser, Landon Earl, Ivy Earl, and Emilia Earl.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Struemph; two sisters, Capitola Rehagen and Ramona McKinnon and two brothers, Weldon “Bud” Irwin and Marvin Irwin.

Services for Barbara will be held on Monday, September 29, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Kansas City, MO. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30am, followed by a visitation until 11:00am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am. On Tuesday, September 30, at 11:00am, Barbara will be laid to rest in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in St. Elizabeth, MO.
