Beatrice Price Bowling

Beatrice “Betty” Bowling, 86, of Independence, MO passed away September 25, 2013. Visitation from 11am-12pm on Oct. 4, 2013 at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel, 11924 E. 47th St. KCMO, with service beginning at 12 pm. Interment following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Betty was born December 31, 1926 in Market Deeping, England to John & Rose Price. She retired after 44 years of service as a Bookbinder & later reentered the workplace as an Aide for “We Care” of Lee’s Summit. Betty was a life member of the Graphic Communication International Union & a member of Oakwood Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit, MO. She loved to sew, was an accomplished Ribbon Embroiderer & was an avid reader of Nicholas Sparks novels. Betty was a great Mom & loved her family dearly. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley O. Bowling; brothers, John & Gordon Price & sisters, Vera Sidebottom, Mary Loch & Martha Barnes. She is survived by her son, Donald K Bowling (Janet) of Chandler, AZ; daughter, Jenelda R. Woolery (Ron) of Indep., MO; the “apple of her eye” grandson, Mark L. Flaaen (Sheila); brother, Bob Price of Indep., MO; brother-in-law, Frank E. Barnes; sister-in-law, Artie Lambrecht of Raytown, MO; numerous nieces & nephews and many treasured friends from We Care of Lee’s Summit.
