Berniece J. Stoufer

Berniece June Stoufer, 72, Kansas City North, walked into the light on January 13, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 PM Monday, January 16th at St. Gabriel Catholic Church where a visitation will begin at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to NorthCare Hospice and Palliative Care.

Berniece was the youngest of twelve children growing up in Macks Creek, MO. Born on November 9, 1939, she became part of the generation which never gave up and knew how to look at the world with a smile and determination. Berniece will be remembered for her devotion to her children and grandchildren. Though she worked blue collar and office life, her world and her life was her kids-whether they were her own or extended family members. She is remembered as a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her spirit and wit will live on in those whose lives she touched in sickness and health. Berniece was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Sarah; brothers, Norman, Glenn and Johnnie; sisters, Blanche and Bonnie; as well as her daughter, Kathy.

Survivors include her children, Debbie, David and Tammy, Dina and Larry; granddaughters, Brittany, Jaileen and Sarah; brothers, Donald and Karl; and sisters, Bessie and Beulah.
