

Bessie Jaunita Howe (Cauthon) of Raymore MO lovingly known as Jaunita, went home to God on November 16th at the remarkable age 100. Born October 18th, 1925 near Gerster, MO. Jaunita was the sixth of nine children born to Fred & Lula Cauthon. In 1942, Jaunita moved to Kansas City where she met and married Ronald L. Howe on December 31st, 1948. Together they raised four children and shared nearly forty years of marriage until his passing in 1988. Jaunita retired in 1989 from Bendix (later Allied Signal/Honeywell) after a dedicated 31-year career.
Jaunita’s zest for life was evident in her love of travel. She toured Germany, Holland, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Australia & New Zealand and enjoying numerous cruises, including three to Alaska. A long-time member of South Haven Baptist Church, Jaunita was deeply involved in her community, serving on various boards and always staying active. She found joy in playing cards and games, solving puzzles, crosswords and word searches. But her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family.
Jaunita is proceeded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters, her beloved husband Ronald, daughter, Rhonda Winn, son Robert & daughter in-law Ardie.
Jaunita leaves behind her oldest son, Richard Howe & his wife Konnie of Belton MO, her youngest son Ralph Howe of Lee’s Summit MO, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren and countless friends whose lives she touched.
Her legacy of love, faith, and adventure will be cherished by all who knew her.
