Betty Battles, 97, passed away Friday March 11, 2022 in her home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri surrounded by loved ones. Betty, also known as “Nana” was born August 8, 1924 in Kansas City Missouri. She is survived by her daughters Karen Powers, Juanita Lemley and sons, George Battles and Gene Battles.
Betty was a loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. She spent a lifetime taking care of children. Betty had a special gift of loving deeply and unconditionally. She and Pa always had an open door policy. Invitation not necessary, all were always welcome. She loved family dinners and get togethers. To say she had a big heart is an understatement. After her husband Milo passed, she spent the next 17 years living with her daughter Karen and son in law Denny Powers.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Milo Battles, daughter Judie Hallman and several grandchildren. Service for her memory will be held Wed. March 16th at 10:00 am at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City MO 64133.
