Betty M Conley was born in 1926 to Mable and Lawrence Flagler in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Southeast High School. After graduating she worked for Southwestern Bell and later at the Fireside on the Plaza. She married Bob South during WWII. They had three children. She later married Dick Conley combining two families into one big happy family. There were many happy reunions and holidays. She was a 60 year member of the Village Church where she was active in Sunday School. She and Dick enjoyed traveling, golfing, and making new friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her late husband, Dick; and his son, Ted.
She is survived by her family, Stan and Sue South, Larry and Linda South, and Sandra Mather; her 10 grandchildren; and her 10 great-grandchildren. She always said it was a wonderful life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Village Church, Shriner’s for Children, or a charity of your choice.
Services for Betty will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. A visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. A committal service will conclude services in Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
