Betty Marlene Covey found the clearing at the end of her path, Monday, August 10th, 2015, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Kansas City, Mo. August 28th, 1934 to Alfred & Mary Engler. She was a graduate of Central High School class of 1953. In 1954 she married her soul mate and lifelong love, Robert N. Covey and they spent the next 61 years caring for each other and taking care of their family. She had a wonderful 24 year career at Hallmark Cards making many lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Engler. She is survived by her husband Bob, son Robert (Betty), daughter Karen (John Axford), her sister Alpha May (Cleo Shockley), grandchildren Thomas Covey, Ryan Potts, Sarah Potts, Roxanna White and Paulette Hawk, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday 8/17/2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening, at Floral Hills. Funeral services will be 10:00am, Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Floral Hills. Burial will follow.
