Betty Louise Houston, 87, Kansas City, MO, passed away October 12, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Mrs. Houston was born June 15, 1925 in Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of Paseo High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia. She married William E. Houston of Kenosha, WI, on June 26, 1948 and they were married for 49 years before his passing in 1998. She was a member of the Elks Club #26 and Kansas City Athenaeum, as well as a longtime member of Leawood United Methodist Church, where she loved singing with a group called the Silver Notes. She was preceded in death by her parents George F. and Ada B. Bischoff, and husband William E. Houston. She is survived by her son William R. “Rob” Houston and his wife Kathie of Enid, OK; three grandchildren Joshua P. Hudson, Kansas City, MO, Michael R. Houston and Nicole E.
