Betty O’Leary, 85, of Kansas City, Missouri died on Sunday, March 3, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.
Betty was born on November 21, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri to Henry Roy and Eva Pearl (Byrns) DeRousse. She attended Lillis High School and worked for The Gerson Company for more than 30 years. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Thomas; brother, Ralph DeRousse; and sister, Jean LeCair. Betty’s survivors include two sons, John Henry O’Leary of Rochester, MN and Michael Joseph O’Leary and wife Gloria of Madison, MS; daughter, Patricia Autrey and husband Neal of Prescott, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Pat Rodarte and Rosemary Kavanaugh; and brother-in-law, Ed O’Leary; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
