Betty Ann Shelby, lifelong resident of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Friday, October 14, 2011. She was born on Jan. 26, 1921, to Sayre Dearing and Mildred Souders. Betty worked in commercial real estate most of her life. In retirement, she enjoyed travel, horses and playing duplicate bridge.
Betty was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Jane Dearing and husbands, Jack Swift and Ray Shelby. She is survived by three daughters, Carroll Constant, Jackie Schweers and Nan Swift; six grandchildren and one great- grandson and Pepper, her beloved dog.
