Beverly McNamara Evans

Our Loss was Heaven’s Gain, as Beverly McNamara Evans, age 79, passed from this life into her eternal life, May 4, 2012 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. Beverly was born August 26, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of Edward J. and Mary (Ward) McNamara. Beverly was proud of her Irish heritage and was the much loved and cherished matriarch of her Irish clan. Although she had successful careers in real estate and accounting, Beverly’s love and passion was her family. She was always loving, kind, positive and full of grace. Her home was the gathering place where everyone wanted to be and where everyone was welcome. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jim Evans; brother Edward McNamara; and sister Margaret Rose McNamara. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Marcia and John Terry; granddaughters Kristen Dreiling and Kelly Dougan; the loves of her life, great-grandsons Matthew, Jacob and Benjamin Dougan; her sister Mary Jeanne Cresto and husband John; brother Jim McNamara and wife Marti; sister Delores Cooper and brother-in-law-brother of heart Boyd Cooper; nieces Mary Elizabeth Lewis, Susan McNamara Johnston, and nephew Shaun McNamara. Beverly also leaves her “angels of mercy” at Omega Health Care, her Care team: Angie Hunner-Davis, Brenda Kehler, Latosha Lee, Beth Aguirre, Chaplain Fred Lacuesta and Renee Valdovino. For over a year, this team of “angels” brought love and grace into our home and we THANK YOU and love you all. At Beverly’s request, there will be no formal services, and true to her cheerful personality, she asked for a family memorial/gathering to celebrate her life.
