Beverly graduated from Union High School in 1958 and Missouri State University (Southwest Missouri State) in 1962 with a BS in Education, Math and Science. Following graduation, Beverly spent her career with AT&T in Kansas City and retired as a manager in 1989.
Beverly married Dale E. Shikles on August 20, 1966. She was proud to be a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and was an active member for many years.
She and her husband were active golfers and enjoyed living on hole number one of the Country Club of Leawood, where they were members for 50 years. Beverly and Dale took many golfing vacations and spent winters golfing at their winter home in Florida for 25 years. The last several years were spent at Meadowbrook Assisted Living in Prairie Village Kansas.
She is survived by her husband, Dale; sister-in-law, Brenda Gosche (Leon); nieces, Carla Hancock (Mike) and Kimberly Ritchey (Shannon); and nephew, Christopher Gosche (Becky), her 14 great-nieces and nephews; all of Jefferson City, and many friends.

Services will be held Wednesday, August 19, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO, 64131. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 AM, with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 AM.
