Billy was born on October 14, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the son of James William and Juanita (Norvell) Lindsay. He grew up in the Martin City area. He worked as a laborer. He was a member of the Laborers' International Union of North America.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sarah Jo Lindsay, ex-wife, Leslie Lindsay, brothers, James Richard Lindsay, Jerrold Lindsay, John Lindsay, and nephew, James HS Berry.
Billy is survived by his girlfriend, Marla Dukes, sister, Roxane Berry, nephew, Michael Berry, extended family and dear friends.
A graveside service for Billy will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 at 10:30 at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. Please gather at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home at the same address no later than 10:20 am. We will leave as a procession from the funeral home. Following the graveside service the family invites you back to his apartment for a Picnic. Please bring a side dish and a lawn chair.
