Blaine A. Durant, Sr., 83, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away July 14, 2011. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 5931 Swope Parkway. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road. Mr. Durant was born October 25, 1927 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, son of Arie and Glovenia Naomi (Watkins) Durant. He had worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Kansas City for 36 years. After his retirement he worked for the Eye Foundation of Kansas City. Mr. Durant was a longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where he served the church through various offices and committees. He was also a longtime member of the Ivanhoe Social Club. He was preceded in death by his son Blaine A. Durant, Jr. He leaves to celebrate his life his wife Annelle (Burley) Durant, sons Burley E. and Bryan Durant, grandson Christopher A.
