

Robert Preston Worthley, known to all as Bob, left this Earth on May 30, 2022 at the age of 78. Bob, a resident of Holden, was born on July 1, 1943 in Independence to Leslie Earl and Betty Frisbie Worthley.
Retiring from General Motors after 30 years, Bob did several part-time jobs including freight delivery and shuttling active service members to and from bases near Warrensburg. Bob liked spending time at the family's lake house in Climax Springs. He also enjoyed mowing his yard and fishing in bass tournaments.
Bob was a volunteer for many organizations through the Kansas City Ski Club of which he was a member, however the majority of his time was spent as Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post 624 in Sunrise Beach. As a founding member, he was very proud and dedicated to hold this position.
Bob is survived by his mother, Betty Worthley, Carolyn, his wife of 50 years, his sister, Janice Brown, his 2 sons, Dan and Rob, his four grandchildren, Tiffany Yunker, Tabitha Worthley, Josh Worthley, Nick Worthley and great grandson Dexter Yunker.
A visitation for Bob will be held Thursday, June 9th, 2022 from 1pm to 2pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home - 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133 - with a Funeral Service to Follow.
