He graduated from East High School then served in the military for two years as a paratrooper. Bob was married to Rose Brown in 1955 in Hopkinsville, KY and returned to Kansas City to later have two sons and a daughter. He worked for General Motors 36 years and retired at the age of 55. Bob volunteered many hours at Maywood Baptist Church including head deacon, church bus driver, and prepared the baptistry for baptisms etc.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pansey and Pete George, brothers Jack and Eddie, sisters Doris, Marie, and Donna.
Bob is survived by wife Rose George, daughter Teresa and husband Larry Cooper, son Rick and wife Michelle George, and son Mike and wife Claudia George, two grandkids Amanda and husband Brad McNeal, Clayton and Wife Felicia George, four great grandkids Dylan, Hannah, Asher, and Jubilee McNeal, nephew Danny George and niece Donna Jacobs.
He was a well loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
