Bonnie Irene Nordstrom

Bonnie was born in Waukegan, Illinois on February 17, 1938, attended grade schools in Grayslake and Waukegan and graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1956. She was employed as a secretary at Antioch Community High School and retired in 1993 after 22 years of service. She enjoyed time with family, crocheting, dinners with friends, cruises and traveling. She especially enjoyed visits to National Parks and occasional trips to Las Vegas. Bonnie also loved playing Bingo, having her nails painted and collecting owls, lighthouses, and cardinal figurines.

Bonnie is survived by 2 sons, Gregory (Lynda Jo) of Sequim, WA., and Steven (Maria) of Overland Park, KS., daughter Janet Nordstrom of Comstock Park, MI., sister-in-law Bette (Dennis) Pasiewicz of Huntley, IL., sister-in-law Helen Snyder of Floresville TX., niece Erica (Steven) Andrew of Huntley, IL., and nephew Christopher (Alice) Snyder of New Braunsfels, TX., 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 grand nephews, and 2 grandnieces.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth E. Nordstrom, her parents William and Dorothy (nee Hardcastle) Snyder, brother Richard Snyder, and son Geoffrey.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for October 5th, 2024, at St. Dismas Catholic Church, 2600 Sunset Ave, Waukegan, IL. 60087 at 10:00am.

Following the memorial mass, Bonnie will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Northshore Garden of Memories, 1801 Greenbay Road, North Chicago, IL. 60064
