Bonnie J. Olson

She was born on February 17, 1923 in Omaha, Nebraska where she lived until she was 27, when she moved to Kansas City, Missouri. There she met and fell in love with Robert (Bob) E. Olson who she married in 1952. They had been happily married for 47 years when he died in 1999. She leaves behind 2 sisters, Rosemary Elsener of Lincoln, Nebraska and Joan Robinson of Auburn, Alabama; 4 children, Bob Olson and his wife, Valerie, Patti Brown and her husband, Dennis, Mary Anne Hunter and her husband, Jeff, and Tom Olson; 7 grandchildren, Randy Brown (Janice), Daniel Brown, David Brown, Kelly Brown (Dustin Francis), Sara Andersen (Daniel Bohrer), Laurisa Ballew (Daniel) and Cameron Hunter; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at McGilley Memorial Chapel-Midtown, 20 West Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64111. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday at St. Peter’s Legacy Center Chapel, 815 E. Meyer Blvd., Kansas City, MO. Burial will be in Forest Hill/Calvary Cemetery.
