Bonnie Papin, age 93, of Cameron, MO, passed on Sunday, January 24, 2016. She was born on June 22, 1922. She was a First Lieutenant in the United States Army and served on the island of Okinawa at the 9th Station Tent Hospital. She was one of two nurse anesthetists stationed on the island trained to administer anesthesia to soldiers undergoing emergency surgery. Bonnie was a CRNA and was a charge nurse at the Research Hospital emergency room for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Papin, and leaves daughter Denise Papin, and sons Christopher Papin and Leo Papin.
Memorial service will be at 11a.m. Friday, January 29 at Unity Church of Overland Park, 10300 Antioch Road, Overland Park, Kansas.
