Born September 18, 1936, in Salisbury, Missouri, Mrs. Watts was the daughter of the late John William “J.W.” and Aletha (Bayne) Armstrong. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles E. Watts, 2014.
Bonnie graduated from Salisbury High School in 1954. She went to beauty school and became a Beautician. She was married to Charles E. Watts in 1966, and they lived in Independence, MO, for 47 years before relocating to Cumberland, MD. Bonnie was the best wife, mom, grandma, and friend to many. She loved being with her family and friends. She was known as “Grandma” and was quite the social butterfly! Bonnie was always up for “whatever,” be it a card game, shopping, or a trip to Livvy’s! She had many talents/interests such as crocheting, painting pictures, watching K.C. sports, puzzles, reading, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Bonnie was faithful member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Cumberland, and always enjoyed helping as much as she could.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter: Terri R. Yost; her son-in-law: Ron; her grandson, Michael; and her granddaughter: Rachael.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, Maryland, on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A Celebration of Bonnie’s life will follow at 7:00 P.M., with Reverend Ron Yost officiating.
A second Visitation will take place from 2:00pm to 3:00pm to be followed by another Celebration of her life at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery South. Reverend Ron Yost will be officiating.
