Brett was born in Akron, OH to Raymond and Jeanette Flegel on April 12, 1972. He attended Garfield High School in Akron, OH until his family moved to Kansas City in 1989. Ultimately, he graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1991. After high school, Brett went to work as a Machinist.
Some of Brett’s favorite pastimes included working at Worlds of Fun, especially during the Halloween season, where he would dress up and work in the haunted house. He was also an active volunteer for N.A.W.S. His love of animals surpassed just being a volunteer, he also cared for his four-legged nieces and nephews along with several fosters. There wasn’t an animal on earth that didn’t like Brett, even cats.
Brett is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Flegel; all four of his grandparents; and his best buddy, Rupert. He leaves behind his mother, Jeanette Flegel; and sister, Wendy Flegel to cherish his memory.
