Bruce Anthony Wittman

Bruce was born in Independence, Missouri on April 21, 1952 to parents Clem and Rosemary Wittman. Bruce graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence, Missouri in 1969 and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Bruce married the love of his life, Kathy, in 2007 and they enjoyed traveling and were active volunteers at their church. Bruce’s life was full of pranks, adventures like sky diving, reading, StarTrek, movies, and cheering on the Royals and Chiefs.

Bruce is preceded in death by parents Clem and Rosemary Wittman and sister Pam Beery.

Bruce is survived by wife Kathy Wittman, sister Joyce McKenzie and husband Joe, brother Kyle Wittman, and brother in law Charlie Beery, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 9:30am - 11:00am followed by mass from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 1800 MO-150 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Summer Lunch Program at Holy Spirit Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff in the Neuroscience ICU and Trauma Unit at Research Medical Center.
