Buford Carver, Jr., 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2016. Visitation will be from 9-10 AM Friday, May 13 at Floral Hills Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 10 AM. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers his family asks for contributions to be made to the Salvation Army. Buford was a lifelong area resident. He was an Army veteran and an Omaha Beach and Battle of the Bulge survivor. Buford worked as a body and fender man by trade and worked for Scott Lincoln Mercury and O’Neill Oldsmobile and Honda. In his early years he was part owner in several businesses with his father. He was truly loved by his family. Buford was preceded in death by his parents Buford and Bernice Carver, and a sister Jean Carver. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Luella, his children and their spouses, Luanna and Jim Luke and John and Lynne Carver, four grandchildren; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
