Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Ferris Elaine Dake; his daughter, TinaMarie Stockdale; granddaughters Jennifer Marie Stump and Cheryl Marie VanDick; his son Ron Melvin Dake and his wife Janice Elizabeth Dake; granddaughter Emily Marie Dake; and grandson Ryan Matthew Dake and his wife Katie McIntyre Dake, stepdaughters Melany Courtice and, Heather Doran: great grandchildren; Griffen, Dexter, Daisy and Savannah. He also leaves behind “a loving gaggle” of Nieces and Nephews!
Carl served in the Army from 1952 to 1954. After his military service, he dedicated 30 years to the United States Postal Service as a station clerk, from 1955 until his retirement in 1985. Following his retirement, Carl continued to work, assisting his son Ron in starting his business from 1985 to 1995.
Carl had a multitude of passions, including traveling, square dancing, spending time with his cherished family and friends, admiring classic cars, enjoying bluegrass music, and photography.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Dake; his daughters, Carla Marie Dake and Cynthia Ann Dake and granddaughter Kathryn Christine Cartmel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.

Services will be held at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Cemetery, located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM, and internment at 3:00 PM
