Carl D. Haynes, 83, Grandview, Missouri, passed away January 30, 2012. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road.; burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Carl was born March 23, 1928 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Rexford and Elda (Thompson) Haynes. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. In 1952, Carl married Toka, his wife of 60 years, and they have lived in Grandview, Missouri since then. Mr. Haynes retired from Bendix after a 38 year career as a Photo Tool Fabricator. He was preceded in death by his son Lance Haynes. Survivors include his wife Toka Haynes, son Gary Haynes, daughter Leanne Sparks, daughter Connie Chaney, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one sister.
