Carl Phillip Migliazzo, 48, of Mission, KS, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 from a heart attack. Carl was born in Kansas City, Mo. on November 26, 1964. He was raised at Lake Lotawana, Mo., graduated from Lee's Summit High School and proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps. Carl was a self-employed contractor at CPM Contracting and owned Platinum Sound Works. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jane H. (Honey) Barnekoff and Tom; his father and step mother, Salvatore Carl Migliazzo and My Rae; brothers, John David Migliazzo (Linda) and Matthew Thomas Migliazzo (fiancé Marisue Corley); grandmother Elvira C. Migliazzo, Step grandfather Myron DeVore; step brothers Michael T.Barnekoff (Dena); Matthew Stafford (Marti); Brett Stafford (Cassie); Andrew Stafford (Amy); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at McGilley State Line Chapel, on Tuesday, July 2nd from 5 PM until 8 PM, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Nativity, 3800 West 119th, Leawood, KS, on Wednesday, July 3rd, at 11 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart association, 6800 W. 93rd St., Overland Park, Ks. 66212.
