Carol Jean (How) Cartmell, 82, passed away July 23, 2021. She was born February 23, 1939 to Ralph Frederick and Mary Bernice How. Carol lived in Kansas City, MO and Independence, MO most of her life. She graduated in 1958 from Northeast High School (Kansas City, MO). She then became a beautician, and at one time owned her own beauty shop, named Beautirite Salon.
Carol was married in 1969 to Ron Cartmell. They enjoyed traveling together, and Carol was fortunate enough to take some trips overseas with her mother.
She was proud to be associated with being a member of Smoky Mountain Railroad Association, Raytown Historical Society Museum, and Roller Skating Rink Association of America (RSROA), just to name a few. She was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Carol leaves behind her baby brother, Ralph D. How, of Blue Springs, MO; along with nieces and nephews, Sis Woods, Phyllis Barnett, Mark Johnson, Cindy Boeding, Malyndia Henderson, Kelly Vincent, Dan Cavanaugh and Rick How.
Graveside services will be 10am, Thursday, July 29, 2021 in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
