Carol “Jeannine” Fair, 94, of Belton, Missouri, passed into eternal life on December 29, 2024, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Jeannine was born in Mercer County, MO on November 18, 1930. She was a 1949 graduate of Princeton High School. After high school, Jeannine worked at a drug store in Princeton, MO before marrying Herb Fair and moving to Kansas City.
Jeannie worked at Peterson Manufacturing in Grandview, MO, and then became a business partner of a drapery business in Ruskin Heights. Jeannie, Herb and their son, Bruce were members of Ruskin Heights Lutheran Church, where the family was active in the church’s chapter of the Boy Scouts of America. Jeannie shared a love for the outdoors with her family and friends. She enjoyed camping and the peace of living at the lake, where the couple built a house after they retired. Jeannie cultivated many friendships during her lifetime. She hosted coffees for their neighbors, who become extended family.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herb Fair, of Kansas City and their son, Bruce Fair, of Cleveland, MO; sisters, Marilyn Arnote Putnam, Judy Arnote Delameter, Myrna Arnote Fordemwalt, Sharal J and Janice A Arnote; brothers Neil Arnote, and Larry Arnote (Jeanie).
Jeannine is survived by brother Nolan Arnote (Mary Lou); sisters Paulette Westerman (Ken) and Annie Harvey; brothers-in-law William Delameter and Dennis Putnam. Jeannie also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews who love her dearly.
Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 9. Funeral services will begin at 2:00. Jeannine will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Herb, at the Floral Hills Cemetery.
