Carol Ann was born June 24, 1936, in Independence, Missouri to the late Boyd and Etta (Coleman) England.
She is survived by her children Kandi Thompson, Johnny Thompson, Vivian Hairston, Jesse Gatewood-England and Michael Gatewood. Her grandchildren Travis, Shawn, Britt, Chad, Klint, Nicole, Jonathan, Patrick, Desiree, Carolann, Christian, Autumn and numerous great grandchildren.
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun; of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
A visitation for Carol will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home, 11924 East 47th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
