Carol A. Mills

Carol Mills, a.k.a. (Christmas Carol), 77 passed away Friday December 13th, 2013. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 18th at McGilley Antioch Chapel with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Carol retired from the Federal Government-Department of Argriculture after 20 years and worked for the Lee’s Summit School District for 11 years. She loved to tell jokes to complete strangers, just to bring a smile to their face and would sing or perform to whomever would listen. She played Mrs. Claus at Christmas parties which brought as much joy to her as well as the people around her. The Don Bosco Senior Center was her second home which she attended regularly. Many thanks to the people who work there, who serve their community in the most unselfish way.

She is survived by her daughter Terry Bickel; son in law John Bickel, grandchildren Cory & Megan Bickel, sisters Pat Crowder(San Jose, CA), Margaret Mussman (Fort Orchard, WA), Mary Ida Leonard (Paradise, CA) and Elizabeth Kopp (Uma, AZ). She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Mills, her parents, brother and sister.
